To be eligible to apply for a Child Student Visa:

the child must be between 4 and 17 years old

have an offer of a place at a Scottish private school which holds a valid Student Sponsor Licence with the Home Office

be able to show there are finances available to pay school fees for the first academic year of study and to cover the child’s living costs

have the consent of the child’s parent or guardian to study in the UK

If the child will live with a close relative

If the Child is under 12 one parent can apply for a Parent of a Child Student Visa.
In addition to showing there is enough money available to pay the child’s school fees for the first academic year it must also be shown
● there is £1,560 per month available (for up to 9 months) to cover living costs of the parent and child.

If the Child has a close relative(aunt/uncle/grandparent) who is British or with Settled Status(ILR) the Child can stay with that relative.

● the close relative has at least £570 available per month (for up to 9 months) to cover living costs of the child

We will meet with you and obtain all relevant information to provide full advice in respect of the Child’s eligibility to apply for a Child Student Visa

Advise the specific documents you require to obtain from the Private School in order to apply for the Child Student Visa and correspond with the private school on your behalf

Prepare the visa application through the Home Office Online system and when you are content it is complete and accurate we will submit the application on your behalf

Advise fully on the specific Private Schools in Scotland that hold a Student Sponsor Licence with the Home Office where a foreign child can apply to study

Advise on all financial documentation required and confirm it meets the requirements under the Immigration Rules for a Child Student Visa
